Our deliberate steps to Regreen the space through sustainable renovation cultivated the design mantra “Reuse when possible, donate when not”. We minimized the renovation’s environmental impact while maximizing local community benefit. An old handcrafted, inlaid wood floor compliments the new Australian Cedar, insulated studio floors. Volatile organic chemical (VOC) paints for better air quality is meant to ease respiratory issues during practice. We salvaged and reused as much of previous tenant’s (The Spa) materials such as; electrical fittings, doors, lighting, insulation, framing, even nuts, bolts and screws.

Basin Studio

Wall-to-wall hard wood floors enveloped in blue walls radiating heat and humidity from energy efficient sources: a vapor delivery unit and radiant heat stations. The heat/vapor ratio (HVR) is determined by class description making the air easier to breath and more resilient to allergens. The commercial surround sound system baths your auditory senses in a hi-fi experience. Post-practice showers in private men/women facilities make anytime practice convenient.
